We're off to see the Grandma...the wonderful Grandma of Iola
Caelan's great Grandma was pretty excited to see her great Grandson...It was awesome!

Caelan's sitting in a chair that my grandma had when she was a little girl!

Caelan loved having his great Grandma read to him

I think she really enjoyed spending time with him

Just because nobody believes us that he can be cranky sometimes...

Chillin at great Grandma's
Even though it poured down rain the night before, I couldn't leave without dropping by the farm to see the land...

Our trip to MO and KS
Over spring break Caelan, my mom, and I ventured halfway across the country to visit family in Missouri and Kansas. I was really excited about the trip since Caelan's great grandma Nickels hadn't yet met her lively great grandson and it had been almost a year since the Missouri family had seen us.
As mom and I got to the airport, we knew this would be no easy trip. EVERYTHING takes twice as long with Caelan. Trying to maneuver two big suitcases, two carry-ons, two purses, and a toddler in a stroller is more difficult than you would imagine. Seriously- why do you have to take a baby's shoes off to go through security? Really? When we got to the gate, we tried to find somebody to give us seats. After trying to choose our seats online and then again trying to get them when we checked in, I should've realized something was fishy. When we finally got to the gate we found out that they had overbooked our tiny plane by 20 seats. We did end up getting our seats on the plane, though they didn't give us seats next to one another. The woman that had the seat next to me, took one look at Caelan and me and switched seats with my mom...
The week was a good one. Luckily, it was much more uneventful than our plane trip. We spent our time hanging out with Aunt Linda and Uncle Jerry, my cousin Christin and her daughter Lilli. We also took a drive to see my grandmother. My mom's best friend Kay came over to visit with her grandson and daughter. We pretty much just hung out...pictures to come...
