For Boston, For Boston....
Believe it or not, Matt and I have been married five years...Obviously- that doesn't stand up to the hundred that my parents have been married, but nonetheless, it's pretty cool. So...anxiety and all, we decided to take a small trip WITHOUT Caelan for our anniversary. What better place to go than Boston. For those of you that don't know, Boston is kind of a special place for Matt and I. I think we both lived there in another lifetime or something. Anyway, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and from what we hear Caelan thoroughly enjoyed his time away from his parents. Maybe Grandma and Grandpa Nickels will post pictures from their weekend with Caelan...
Here are some pics from the weekend...
This is the view from our room! We got upgraded to the club level on the top floor of the Sheraton. They treated us really well and gave us complimentary chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of wine for our anniverary.

Heading to Boston Common...

One of my favorite things about Boston is the mix of old and new on the same corner...

On the fashionable Newbury St.

Popular stop on the Freedom Trail: Faneuil Hall

Side streets in Boston have a lot a character

The waterfront was chilly, but gorgeous!

We ran into some break dancers...

The things they can do with their bodies are amazing...

Yawkey Way...there was actually a game going on when I took this...

Matt bought his usual "trip hat"
It was awesome to get away, but also fun to see Caelan's face when we came to pick him up...Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for taking care of our little man while we were away!

Melanie's having a baby!!!
Last weekend I attended a baby shower for my friend Melanie. She's having a baby girl who is due to come in June. As with most baby showers there was food, games, gifts, and a lot of love. Here are some pictures of the event...

Melanie's trying to guess who the baby pictures belong to...

Carrie had the privilege of walking the board around the room...

You couldn't say the word "baby"...Jenn is stealing the other Jenn's clip because she said it...

Presents!!!

The opening of the presents begin...

Melanie's mom, Roberta, made the baby a Raggedy Ann just like Melanie had when she was younger.

Some of the guests: my Mom, Connie, and Lauren

Melanie's niece Isabella and Isabella's mommy Sue

Melanie and her hostesses
