Our busy weekend...

The Bodek family had a very busy weekend. Besides catching up on our blog, we also spent some time with some of our favorite people.

Saturday evening, we went to visit our friends Dan and Melanie. Melanie's mom was also visiting from out of town and let's just say she is sooo ready to be a grandma (so it's a good thing that Melanie is pregnant)!

Caelan is already bonding with baby Fraim

Yes..he's a bit narcissistic...

After visiting Dan and Melanie, we went to celebrate my dad's birthday. Apparently, the waitress that my parents had at dinner the night before Caelan was born really wanted to meet Caelan.

Seriously- she was ridiculously excited about meeting him...

"What?! I don't get any french fries?!"

I love getting pictures of Caelan with my dad

"Mom- can I pleeeease have a french fry?"

We had one more date this weekend with Matt's mom and brother Mark. Lunch was yummy and warm, but outside it was windy and cold...

New Years

While we were originally going to stay in and be losers on New Years, we decided to venture out. We spent a quiet evening with family and good friends at The Nickels' Annual New Year's Eve Party. Caelan decided to make it quite the party by barfing all over himself and losing his pants...

Caelan and "Miss Maggie" (as he calls her)

Like I said, Caelan lost his pants

Even though Caelan wanted to stay, his mommy and daddy needed to be put down for bed and so all three Bodeks celebrated midnight at home.

Christmas

Okay...we are now only a couple of weeks behind...

Christmas was fun since it was Caelan's first. As always, we went to the Hart household Christmas eve where Caelan had his first ever try at opening a present.

Sue did help him a little bit....

Christmas morning, we woke up and Caelan opened his presents. Next year he is getting wrapping paper because I think that was his favorite thing about his presents.

This is the first of many (25 total) books that Caelan got for Christmas. While I'm sure he will love all of his books, this is his favorite (because it's from mommy and daddy).

Caelan went down for his morning nap and Matt and I exchanged gifts. Matt surprised me with a new camera. I cried, of course, because I like to pretend that I am a photographer sometimes! We then hurried around cleaning and cooking before the Bodek side of the family came over.

Here's our little family in front of the Christmas tree.

We then took our Christmas celebration to Grandma and Grandpa Nickels house.

We ended our Christmas day with Christmas dinner at the Hafts' house. It was a busy, but love-filled day.

Caelan turns 9 months old!!!

Again...the time is flying by...here is Caelan's official 9 month old picture, as well as, some 9 month old portraits that I decided I would take.

The Christmas Card

In mid-December I thought I should get a move-on on our Christmas card. Following are the highlights of my quest for the perfect Christmas card....

First I tried multi-colored lights

Then I wanted to get a close-up of his "Good things come in small packages" onesie

Then he got grumpy...

Then he decided to grab the camera...

Then I tried it with his Mickey snow hat...

Then I finally figured it out...

Orlando 3...

Now we come to Wedding day of Anna and Tom. The real reason we came down to Orlando...

Early in the day we took a boat to downtown disney and Caelan's picture taken with Santa. My friend Eileen gave us the inside information that the Santa at downtown disney was "the best Santa". I think it's funny that Caelan's first Santa picture is in shorts and a t-shirt.

The wedding ceremony was at the wedding chapel in Disney world where you can see Cinderella's castle in the background of the ceremony. The reception was at the Grand Floridian hotel. We had so much fun dancing the night away and Caelan was the second most popular guy there (behind the groom of course).

In the end...the trip was incredible. From my parents watching Caelan in the evenings to Eileen working extra special shifts to get us complimentary tickets and taking us grocery shopping to Maggie bringing down a car seat for us, we had a lot of help so that we could enjoy ourselves. We miss everybody and are looking forward to the next party in Orlando!
