The Beach....Photography

Here are some other pictures I took at the beach. I do love taking pictures. :)

The Beach...Playtime

As soon as we walked across the sand dunes and Caelan saw the ocean he said, "I love the ocean!" Then I proceeded to carry him down the stairs where he wriggled out of my arms and exclaimed as only a two year old can, "I want to walk on the sand!" We had an awesome time playing on beach with Caelan. We actually even spent a fair amount of time in the water even though it was in the 60s.

The Beach....House

Time to post some pictures of our beach vacation from last week. Caelan asks me at least 4 times a day when we are going back to the beach. Maybe I should fit in a day trip before going back to work in a couple of weeks....Anyway- here are some pictures of our activities in the beach house.

Every night we had dinner made by a different family unit. It was delicious....I think these limes were for the Coronas.

Caelan was obsessed with Ryan's Ipad....I think Matt is hoping we will get one too..

Dan spends a lot of time making oogly-boogly faces at his daughter Sophia. (Who can blame him- she is a cutie!)

Dad spent a lot of time in this tiny room at the top of the house. I never did ask him how many books he ended up reading.

Melanie celebrated a birthday while we were in OBX. She is blowing out pretend candles.

Caelan and Uncle Matthew are comparing their muscles...

Matthew and Ryan enjoying another evening at the house.

We had a pool at the house. Don't you think mom should be a model?!

Grandma and grandbaby love

Going to the beach in 2010 is certainly different than 10 years ago. I think we had at least 6 laptops at the beach...

More pooltime...

Summer fun with the Franklins

We've been trying to capitalize on my time off by spending some quality time with the Franklin family. Here are some pics that I've taken of our various summer playdates.

July 4th

We spent the 4th at the Harts like most years. And, like most years, had a blast.

I bet we could scan some similar pictures of our moms from 30 years ago...

Triathlon

About a month ago, we traveled down to Atlanta to visit our friends Marco and Michelle. This was both a social visit, as well as, a completion of a goal. Several months ago I (Laura) started training for a triathlon. For those of you who don't know, I did one several years ago, but did not complete the run portion of the tri. I also vowed never to do another one at the time, but the fact that I never completed it really bugged me. I trained and trained and on June 27th I completed the Atlanta Irongirl triathlon with Michelle. While we were down there, we spent some quality time with Michelle, Marco, and their dog Chelsea.

This was Michelle and I trying to get out our nervous energy the night before...

Here's the swim start

Michelle and I at the finish line being silly. (I was delirious...)

While we were there we also went to the aquarium.
