June

June was a big month. School ended and summer started. Two of the big events from June were our trip to D.C. and Donovan's first birthday. (I also went to Las Vegas, but you don't need to see pictures from that...)

For Donovan's first birthday we just did a small family get-together. (I consider the Franklins and Fraims family.)

Here's all the way back to April, which included Spring Break....

We played a ton and went to several playgrounds.

We did a lot of crafts including painting rocks and making little Easter baskets. Caelan and I also baked a carrot cake from scratch. It was delicious!

Then there was Easter with the annual Easter egg hunt and a couple of sad bunnies.

Oh yeah...and LOTS of mommy and kiddo time. :)

I have neglected this blog for almost 6 months now, but since my dad doesn't live in the modern world (read- doesn't have facebook) I am updating this for him. Here are the monthly pictures that I have not posted here. (Donovan is 15 months today, but I forgot to take a picture so I will do so tomorrow.)

Egg Hunt

Today we met up with the Fraims and some of their friends for an Easter Egg Hunt. It was more like an Easter Egg Raid (credit goes to Melanie for that label), but the kids had fun nonetheless. It turned out to be a beautiful day despite possibilities of rain.

The birthday party...

We had Caelan's birthday party at Swimkids where he has his swim lessons. You never know what kind of weather you are going to have in March and, as it turned out, the day was gorgeous. Oh well- the kids still had fun at the indoor pool.

Birthday Scavenger Hunt

While Caelan and I were running errands on the morning of his birthday, some pirates came by. Apparently, they had left some treasure here, but were unable to find it again. They left the clues for Caelan to find the treasure as only a birthday boy was allowed to find the treasure...
